Dance With Me
Discover the joys of dance and music with your toddler! Dancers are accompanied by a parent or caregiver during this special class that is designed to help young children develop valuable social and physical skills within a fun and nurturing environment.
Parents and caregivers participate actively throughout class as children explore concepts including space, level, speed, and shape through dancing, play, storytelling, and props. Classes include a warm up circle, stretching, pre-ballet and dance steps, balance exercises, coordination activities, and free dance time!
Creative Dance (2.5-4)
Creative Dance is a progression from Dance With Me and a great choice for children who are ready to dance independently without a parent or caregiver present in class. This fun-filled introduction to ballet, jazz, and the world of dance encourages exploration of movement and physical skills, while also inspiring imagination and creativity through storytelling and props!
Dancers MUST be potty trained, able to go to the bathroom without assistance, and able to be independent during class (parent participation is not allowed). Tiny Dancers classes do not particpate in the Spring Recital.
Tiny Level - Ages 3-5 years
(Pre-K)
Dancers must be 3 as of August 31, 2025
Tiny Ballet
Your dancer will explore and discover the magic of ballet through storytelling and props during this fun-filled class! Dancers will learn pre-ballet and dance skills geared towards improving musicality, motor skills, and agility while also developing social, behavioral, and cognitive skills.
All children MUST be potty trained & able to go to the bathroom without assistance. Parent participation is not allowed.
Tiny Ballet/Tap
This fun and energetic combo class introduces young dancers to the basics of both ballet and tap. With a mix of graceful movement and rhythmic footwork, dancers will explore musicality, coordination, and creative expression. Props, songs, and storytelling make each class an engaging and imaginative experience that is perfect for preschoolers!
Dancers will need ballet shoes and tap shoes.
All dancers MUST be potty trained & able to go to the bathroom without assistance. Parent participation is not allowed.
Tiny Tumbling + Dance (4-5)
This combo class introduces dancers to both tumbling (gymnastics) and dance! Students will learn basic tumbling skills while also exploring rhythm, creative movement, and expression during the dance portion of class.
All dancers must be potty trained & able to go to the bathroom without assistance. Parent participation is not allowed.
Mini Level - Ages 5-7 years
(Kindergarten - 1st Grade)

Mini Ballet
This introductory ballet class teaches the fundamentals of ballet vocabulary and technique while fostering a fun environment full of creativity and expression.
Mini Ballet/Tap
Split into two parts, this class is the perfect way for your dancer to explore two different dance styles!
Creativity, fun, and imagination are encouraged throughout class as the your dancer explores the endless possibilities of movement. Tap develops musicality, precision, and coordination while ballet develops balance, grace, and an understanding body placement.
Mini Hip Hop
This class is packed with fun and athletic movement as dancers are introduced to the stylized technique, isolations, and rhythm of hip hop.
Mini Hip Hop/Jazz
Mini Hip Hop/Jazz dancers have the opportunity to learn the foundations of two different dance styles in one class!
Dancers will explore the isolations, grooves, and style of hip hop while also working on the technique, strength, and flexibility necessary for jazz!
Mini Tumbling/Acro
Mini Tumbling/Acro is the perfect choice for children who are interested in gymnastics! This class focuses on teaching safe and proper tumbling technique and introduces introductory tumbling skills, including somersaults, bridge, handstands, cartwheels.
All dancers must be potty trained & able to go to the bathroom without assistance. Parent participation is not allowed.
Ages 6-10 years
(1st Grade - 5th grade)
Hip Hop + Intro to Breakdancing (6-11)
Dancers will learn the foundations of hip hop and breakdancing in this brand new class!
Cheer (ages 6-11)
This high-energy class is perfect for spirited dancers who love to move, dance, and cheer with enthusiasm! Cheer students will learn incredibly fun routines while working on the fundamentals of cheerleading, including basic motions, jumps, chants, and beginner stunts.
A set of pom poms will be purchased for each student enrolled in this class.
Adaptive Dance (6-11)
Taught by Charmin Wray, Adaptive Dance is a class that is specifically designed for dancers with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD) and those considered neurodivergent. Dancers will build community and experience the joy and benefit of dancing as they explore the fundamentals of movement within a fun, encouraging, and inclusive environment.

Ages 7 & up

Ballet, Ballet Foundations
Ballet creates a strong foundation of technique for almost all other styles of dance and is essential for aspiring dancers. Ballet students will learn classical ballet vocabulary, barre work, center exercises, and across-the-floor combinations while also building discipline, body awareness, and artistic expression within a structured and extremely supportive environment. Creation Dance Studio’s experienced faculty primarily teach Balanchine-style technique, which focuses on musicality, speed, precision, and dynamic movement quality. Dancers placed in ballet levels 3 and above have two ballet classes per week.*
*All pre-pointe and pointe students must be enrolled in a minimum of 2 ballet classes/week.
Ballet Foundations (ages 11+) This class is designed for dancers ages 11 and up who are new to ballet or who are looking to strengthen their technique and fundamentals. Students will learn classical ballet vocabulary, proper alignment, and foundational technique through barre work and center exercises.
Enrolling in at least one ballet class per week is REQUIRED for all students who are enrolled in the following classes: Beg. Lyrical, Beg/Int. Lyrical Fusion, Int. Lyrical Fusion, Int/Adv. Contemporary, Int. Jazz, Int/Adv. Jazz
Dancers who are enrolled in Beg. Jazz and Beg/Int. Jazz are STRONGLY encouraged to also enroll in at least one Ballet class per week.
Pointe & Pre-Pointe
Pointe is a very exciting step for ballet dancers who are advancing in their ballet training and technique. Dancers interested in pointe are required to take pre-pointe class in order the develop the foot and ankle strength that is necessary for pointe work.
Teacher approval & placement is required for this class.
*Dancers enrolled in Pointe and Pre-Pointe must be also be enrolled in a minimum of 2 ballet classes per week.
Jazz
Jazz is a high-energy and dynamic dance style that combines athletic and expressive movement with stylized technique. During jazz class, dancers learn a variety of leaps, kicks, turns, and jumps while also exploring movement quality and discovering personal style. Jazz classes at CDS have a strong emphasis on proper technique and alignment and are incredibly fun for dancers of all ages!
Dancers enrolled in Beginning and Beginning/Intermediate Jazz are STRONGLY encouraged to also enroll in at least one Ballet class per week.
Dancers enrolled in Intermediate and Intermediate/Advanced Jazz are REQUIRED to also enroll in at least one Ballet class per week.
Jazz Foundations (11+)
Specifically designed for beginning to beginning/intermediate level dancers who are ages 11 and older, Jazz Foundations will teach your dancer the foundations of jazz technique, turns, jumps, and floor work.
It is STRONGLY recommended that dancers enrolled in Jazz Foundations also enroll in Ballet Foundations or at least one ballet class per week.
Musical Theatre/Jazz (11+)
This fun and high-energy class is perfect for dancers who love musicals, acting, and dancing or who want to supplement their theatre training! Musical Theatre/Jazz combines the expressive storytelling of musical theatre with the sharp technique of jazz dance. Dancers will build performance skills, dance technique, and confidence while learning choreography inspired by Broadway and beyond.
It is STRONGLY recommended that dancers enrolled in Musical Theatre/Jazz also enroll in Ballet Foundations or at least one ballet class per week.
Lyrical/Contemporary
Lyrical Fusion/Contemporary is a combination class that blends together various elements of lyrical and contemporary dance. Dancers are encouraged to learn how to emotionally connect with the music and tell a story through their dancing while focusing on technique, expression, and dynamic movement.
*Dancers enrolled in Beg. Lyrical, Beg/Int. Lyrical Fusion, Int. Lyrical Fusion, and Int/Adv. Contemporary are REQUIRED to also enroll in at least one ballet class per week.
Hip Hop
Hip Hop is packed with energetic and athletic movements that encourage dancers to discover their own personal style and groove. During class, dancers will learn isolations, popping, locking, and various hip hop styles and techniques. Hip hop helps dancers to develop balance, endurance, coordination, dynamic movement, and musicality within an incredibly fun and upbeat enviroment.
Hip Hop Foundations (11+)
This high-energy class introduces dancers to the fundamentals of hip hop in a fun and supportive environment. Students will learn basic grooves, footwork, isolations, and combinations while building confidence, coordination, and musicality. Perfect for beginners, this class focuses on developing a strong foundation in hip hop technique and style through age-appropriate movement and upbeat choreography.
Tumbling/Acro 1, 2, 3/4
Appropriate for Tumblers ages 7 & older.
Tumblers will focus on building safe and proper tumbling technique while learning basic skills such as somersaults, bridge, bridge kickovers, handstands, and cartwheels. Tumblers will continue to progress to more advanced skills such as front and back walkovers, front and back handsprings, and front and side aerials as they continue to build strength and increase flexibility.
Strength & Flexibility (9+)
This dynamic class is designed to help dancers improve overall strength, flexibility, balance, and stability. Through a combination of conditioning exercises and active and static stretching, students will build the physical tools necessary to bring their dancing to the next level. This thirty minute class supports dancers in achieving greater control, extension, and injury prevention—an essential addition to any training program.
This class is recommended for ALL dancers who are enrolled in Beg/Int. and Int. Jazz, Lyrical/Contemporary, and Ballet levels 2 and above!
